Turtle tragedy at Point Calimere

Point Calimere,India. The beach is turned from soft sandy floor in to hard substratum after Tsunami. This may prevent the turtles from digging the sand to lay their eggs. This would have been confusing breeding turtles, and will create severe impacts on the natural population recruitment – a long-term effect?
